Who can match the romanticism and passion of Byron’ s protagonists? Many writers and artists, including Hugo, were strongly impacted by Byron’ s poetry. Liszt composed a piano composition of the same name based on Hugo’ s adaptation of Mazeppa and then transformed it into a “Symphonic Poem” orchestral music. The song reflects his romantic emotions and attitude. After experiencing the hustle and bustle of Hungarian style, let us now move to the refinement of French style. Pianist SONG Siheng will perform Frank’ s Symphonic Variations. Frank, a well - known French composer of the twentieth century, composed numerous good works. He was very skilled at melody writing, and his harmony has a distinctive personal style. Although Symphonic Variations is titled Variations, the composer’ s exceptional writing talents seamlessly integrate each variation, making it sound like a single movement musical piece that flows smoothly from beginning to end. Ravel’ s DAPHNIS ET CHLOÉ are based on the mysterious, elusive, and unpredictable color of harmony. However, Shéhérazade employs impressionist techniques, and the renowned soprano singer ZHOU Xiaolin will take you to the mystical Eastern night in Tales from the Thousand and One Nights. This season has previously presented a work of the same name by Russian composer Rimsky Korsakov, which combines Russian ethnic features with the combination of East and East, giving it a distinct appeal. Ravel, on the other hand, sprinkled French - style musical language throughout tonight’ s concert, adding icing to the cake.
